Agricultural Awareness Week

Alpha Zeta, the Agricultural Honors Fraternity at NC State, hosted its annual Agricultural Awareness Week last week before the Easter holiday break. Animals from NC States Agricultural school were brought out to the Brickyard for students and guest to enjoy as they are making their way across campus. The attractions included many different animals, including cows, pigs, alpacas and sheep, along with student organizations. Alpha Zeta raised money to go to future events that promote the Agriculture school and student organizations within the program. Alpha Zeta hosts a “Kiss the Pig” contest where students donate money to vote for whom they want to “Kiss the Pig”, with the funds going to the Jimmy V Foundation. This year students voted for Women’s Basketball Coach Wes Moore to kiss the pig. This representative week is always one of the student’s favorite as they get to see all the hard work the Agricultural school puts into NC State. If you want to find out more about 2016’s Ag Week please take a look at the Technician article or watch the video that was posted on NC State University’s Facebook page website.
